LB Design Recruitment are working with a busy architectural practice in Southampton. They specialise in residential projects for large national housing developers along with smaller regional housing developers across the UK. Working on projects ranging from 10 - 2000+ homes with low - medium rise mixed use new builds and refurbs.
Due to an increase in volume of new work, they are now seeking to recruit a Senior Architectural Technologist / Technician to join their team. This is a senior role and the successful candidate will be working closely with the management team with a view to moving to associate/ technical director level in 3-5 years.
Role requirements:
- 5 + years of post-qualification experience working in a similar role in the UK.
- Experience working on UK residential developer housing projects is essential.
- Experience of working closely with new and existing client base.
- Proficiency in operating AutoCAD is essential. Revit experience also beneficial.
- Though understanding / knowledge of the latest UK building regulations.
Responsibilities include:
- Working on the production of residential working drawings.
- Checking / approving / coordinating third party design drawings for any technical issues.
- Liaising with building control / NHBC to discharge conditions etc.
- Producing external works and conveyance layouts to client briefs, including coordinating with civil engineers layouts etc.
- Taking a design team leader role in the running of projects.
- Attending site visits and client meetings.
