LB Design Recruitment are working with anaward-winning architectural practice that specialises in a wide range of sectors, including residential, education, commercial, healthcare and hospitality. They are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking Senior Architect who has substantial experience in simultaneously leading multiple residential and mixed-use projects which may range from smaller infill schemes to larger urban extension projects. Projects will include working with housebuilders, independent developers and housing associations.
As a Senior Residential Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design and delivery of a wide range of projects through all RIBA stages, ensuring the realisation of concepts into tangible, functional spaces. You will be responsible for preparing initial feasibility site layouts, detailed masterplans and planning application packages. Alongside this, you will need to manage a portfolio of clients.
Key Attributes & Skills Needed
- Experience in running large projects from inception to achieving planning consent.
- An understanding of residential layout design regarding housing-led schemes.
- The ability to effectively lead a project team under timescale pressures.
- The ability to prepare fee quotes and the confidence to approach existing and prospective clients for work winning opportunities.
- Experience in collaborating with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Taking initiative to ensure that projects are suitably resourced, and that abortive work is minimised.
- Working autonomously where needed to provide clients with a quick turnaround on feasibility work.
- Good communication skills both internally and externally.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of UK planning and Building Regulation requirements.
