LB Design recruitment is working with a Landscape Architecture and Urban Design practice that works on projects across the UK within a broad range of sectors including housing, education, large scale retail, commercial, urban and public realm.
They are looking to recruit an Associate Landscape Architect that is passionate about delivering high quality solutions, with the ability to take projects from concept to completion, with excellent communication, organisation and IT skills.
You will need to have an enthusiasm and passion for landscape design and be able to demonstrate creative design flare whilst also being able to deliver practical solutions. You should also have good technical design capability and experience in working closely with Architects, design teams and contractors to deliver successful projects. The successful candidate will be a key player in our management team and will be working closely with the Director and team of Landscape Architects and Designers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the internal landscape architecture team to develop and implement innovative design solutions.
- Manage and contribute to all phases of the design process, from conceptualization through to technical resolution and delivery on site.
- Conduct site analysis and assessments to inform design decisions.
- Work closely and communicate with clients and consultants to ensure project success.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and sustainable design principles.
Qualifications/Skills:
- An undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in Landscape Architecture/ Landscape Design.
- Chartered member of the Landscape Institute.
- 3- 5 years of experience working in landscape architecture.
- Experience of project management, including the design and delivery of projects in the UK across RIBA Stages 0 – 6.
- Good design skills and technical detailing knowledge.
- Proficient in software platforms including, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Site experience including undertaking site inspections and snagging.
- Experience of tender preparation.
- Experience of team management.
- A UK driving licence.
